It was revealed two months ago that Sandra Bullock had joined the cast of Bullet Train, an action/thriller starring Brad Pitt and directed by David Leitch. It wasn't specified at the time, but it was later revealed that Bullock's role was more of a cameo, and it seems that Pitt will be repaying the favour by making a cameo in Bullock's latest film.

It was announced today that Brad Pitt would make an appearance in Lost City of D, a romantic comedy action adventure that's slated to shoot in the Dominican Republic this summer. In addition to starring in the film, Sandra Bullock is also a producer and was the one who reached out to Pitt when they "saw an opportunity for a fun casting." Lost City of D centers on reclusive romance novelist who is sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model. That is until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger, and more romantic, than any of her paperback fictions. Bullock will be playing the romance novelist while Channing Tatum is onboard to play the model. The film is being directed by Adam and Aaron Nee (Masters of the Universe) and is being described as "an old-fashioned star vehicle as well as a screwball adventure featuring mismatched leads, witty repartee and of course, romance." Lost City of D is also set to star Daniel Radcliffe, Patti Harrison, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

As for Bullet Train, the film is based on the popular manga Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka and is expected to follow several "assassins who find themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. Strangely, they discover their missions are not unrelated to each other." In addition to Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock, Bullet Train also stars Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz, Masi Oka, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, and Lady Gaga.
