Lone Wolf trailer: Hugo Weaving thriller arrives next month (Exclusive)

Today we're proud to share the EXCLUSIVE first look at the trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Lone Wolf, which stars Hugo Weaving – best known for his roles in the Matrix and Lord of the Rings franchises. Lone Wolf will be receiving a theatrical and VOD release on September 24th.

Set in a "near-future Australia where every aspect of daily life can be spied on by the government", Lone Wolf has the following synopsis:

It's not exactly what the Minister of Justice wants to be doing: watching an endless stream of video footage. But a former police officer is very insistent. Together, all this footage – from hidden cameras, phone taps, Skype sessions and security surveillance – can tell an interesting story. The focus here is on an obscure bookstore where a group of environmental activists are meeting in secret. Idealistic Winnie and her boyfriend Conrad want to disrupt the G20, but aren't aware that they are possibly being lured into a trap

The film was written and directed by Jonathan Ogilvie, who drew inspiration from the 1907 Joseph Conrad novel The Secret Agent. That novel dug into

the life of a man named Verloc, a secret government agent for an unnamed country living in London in 1886, who is ordered to carry out a bombing with the goal of manipulating the British government.

Weaving is joined in the cast by Tilda Cobham-Hervey (Mike Gan's Burn), Diana Glenn (Harrow), Josh McConville (Fantasy Island 2020), and Chris Bunton (Natalie Erika James' Relic).

Lone Wolf was produced by Mat Govoni and Adam White, with Shaun Miller serving as executive producer and Antje Kulpe as the line producer.
