We’re just a week and a half away from the release of the third and final season of the Netflix series adaptation of Joe Hill’s IDW comic book series Locke & Key, and a full trailer has now been released for this last batch of episodes. (We previously saw a teaser trailer in early June.) To get a preview of what the Locke kids are going to be up to when Locke & Key season 3 reaches the Netflix streaming service on August 10th, check out the video embedded above!
The Locke & Key series has the following synopsis:
After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.
The show stars Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, and Emilia Jones as the Locke siblings Bode, Tyler, and Kinsey. They’re joined in the cast by Darby Stanchfield as the Locke siblings’ mother Nina; Brendan Hines as history teacher / Nina’s love interest Josh Bennett; Sherri Saum as Ellie Whedon, a teacher who has history with the keys; Coby Bird as Ellie’s adopted son Rufus; and Kevin Durand as the demon-possessed Frederick Gideon.
This version of Locke & Key was created by Hill and developed by Carlton Cuse, Aron Eli Coleite, and Meredith Averill. Coming to us from IDW Entertainment, the series is executive produced by Cuse and Averill, along with John Weber and Frank Siracusa for Take 5; Kevin Lafferty, Joe Hill, Ted Adams, Chris Ryall, and Lydia Antonini for IDW; and Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, David Alpert, and Rick Jacobs for Circle of Confusion.
I watched the trailer, but I haven’t watched any Locke & Key yet myself, so when I finally get around to it I will be bingeing the complete series. Are you a fan of this show? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
