Little House on the Prairie reboot currently in the works

Boy howdy, someone had better tighten the wagon wheels and wrap last week's jerky in a bit of cloth because Little House on the Prairie is getting rebooted.

That's right, folks, Anonymous Content, Paramount Television, and Friendly Family Productions are currently developing a one-hour drama series based on the best-selling novels by Laura Ingalls Wilder. If the old man down by the river is to be believed, the new take on the timeless property will be a joint effort on behalf of Anonymous Content and Paramount Television Studios.

If you don't remember Little House on the Prairie worth a man, don't worry, you're not alone. Believe it or not, the original adaptation ran for nine seasons on NBC from September 1974 to May 1982. Presented to audiences as a historical Western drama, Little House starred the late Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, and Melissa Sue Anderson as members of the Ingalls family, who lived on a farm in Plum Creek near Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the late 1800s. Throughout the seasons, the Ingalls faced many hardships but the one thing they always had through thick and thin was each other.
