Sony Pictures finished fourth out of the major studios with a 10.7% share of the box office and a total domestic revenue of $1.3 billion. With five films crossing the $100 million mark, led by the surprise hit VENOM and the Golden Globe winning SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, it looks like Sony's burgeoning Spider-man franchises are going to keep the studio afloat for years to come. 2019 looks to be very lucrative for the studio with new franchise films MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME and the third JUMANJI film amongst many others.
