In their final year of existence before being acquired by Disney, 20th Century Fox had their lowest year at the box office since 2013. Pulling in 9.4% of the domestic box office for a total of just over $1 billion. Thanks primarily to the success of DEADPOOL 2 and the recent Golden Globe winneer of Best Picture, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, 20th Century Fox had no other film come even close to breaking $75 million, let alone $100 million. With the Disney acquisition coming mid-year, 2019 looks to have some hits for 20th Century Fox including ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, DARK PHOENIX, and the third KINGSMAN movie.
