Sailor Moon + Sheri Moon Zombie = SAILOR MOON ZOMBIE!
And we have the sweet little ditty to prove it! Fans of cult horror actress Sheri Moon Zombie and of the hit Japanese animated series Sailor Moon will enjoy this crazy mash-up into the song Sailor Moon Zombie. Scroll below and click play on that sumbitch!
Robert “Corpsy” Rhine, Publisher/Deaditor-In-Chief of Girls and Corpses Magazine, explains, “I wrote the live action pilot for Sailor Moon (for Bandai Entertainment) so I’m familiar with the hit Japanese animated cartoon. I have also worked with Sheri Moon Zombie who graced the first cover of Girls and Corpses Magazine and I am a great admirer of her brilliant performances in ‘House of 1,000 Corpses,’ ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ and ‘Rob Zombie’s Halloween 1 & 2’. So, I thought why not blend those 2 ideas together? I hired Girls and Corpses artist Nenad Gucunja to do our artwork. I then brought in Quentin Jones of the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns (who does the music for our Girls and Corpses videos) to compose a song with his all female band The Clownettes. I wanted the song to have a cartoony vibe like the Sailor Moon TV series but with a dark, sick and twisted edge. After several recordings, Quentin and I finally created a killer song!”
As you know, Sheri Moon Zombie will her appear in her hubby’s latest flick, LORDS OF SALEM. Although when we’re still not sure. Until we do, get down with sailormoon.zombie.com for more.
