For those of you that might not know, here is THE STAND's rundown via Amazon:
This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides — or are chosen. A world in which good rides on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abigail — and the worst nightmares of evil are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the dark man.
The current cast includes James Marsden (WESTWORLD) as Stu Redman, Amber Heard (AQUAMAN) as Nadine Cross, Whoopi Goldberg (GHOST) as Mother Abagail, and Greg Kinnear (TWILIGHT ZONE) as Glen Bateman. Shock rocker Marilyn Manson also has a role in the new adaptation along with Odessa Young (ASSASSINATION NATION) as Frannie Goldsmith, and Henry Zaga (NEW MUTANTS) as Nick Andros.
Jovan Adepo (THE LEFTOVERS) joins them as Larry Underwood, along with Owen Teague (IT) as Harold Lauder, Brad William Henke (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) as Tom Cullen, Daniel Sunjata (RESCUE ME) as Cobb, Nat Wolff (DEATH NOTE) as Lloyd Henreid, Eion Bailey as Teddy Weizak, Katherine McNamara as Julie Lawry, Hamish Linklater as Dr. Ellis, Heather Graham (AUSTIN POWERS THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME) as Rita Blakemoor, and Alexander Skarsgard (GODZILLA VS KONG) as Mr. Randall Flagg!
Boone and Ben Cavell executive produce with Roy Lee, Jimmy Miller, and Richard P. Rubinstein. Will Weiske and Miri Yoon are co-executive producers and Owen King will produce. How excited are you to hear that THE STAND is finally coming (back) to your TV screen? Let us know below!
