FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE GAME isn't messing around. Original director Sean S. Cunningham is on hand to produce, but they also nabbed returning composer Harry Manfredini to bring his eerie magic to the virtual Camp Crystal Lake. The first track from the game's original soundtrack is now available to tease your eardrums.
It starts off as an atmospheric mood piece, but it quickly jumps into the classic orchestral vibe that we know and love. Curiously, a lot of this track seems to have an unusual influence: the disco theme song from FRIDAY THE 13TH: PART 3. While that notorious composition might not have won a lot of fans, here it is repurposed with spooky intent, and it actually works. Don't ask me how. But it seems that Manfredini wanted a second crack at a wonky piece and he made it work. Although, to be honest, I miss the bongos. You can listen for yourself below!
The game is perilously close to its $700K Kicstarter goal with three days left. Why not help it along?
