Here's one I certainly didn't see coming — Deadline has reported that Lily James (Rebecca) and Sebastian Stan (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) are slated to play Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in a new limited series for Hulu.
Pam & Tommy will revolve around the couple's tabloid-fodder relationship, including the scandal that emerged when their honeymoon sex tape was stolen and leaked to the public. Deadline added that Seth Rogen (An American Pickle) is expected to play the man who stole the tape. The eight-episode series will kick off production in the spring with Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) directing from a script by Rob Siegel (The Wrestler). Although the sex-tape scandal will play a major part of Pam & Tommy, the series will largely focus on their "whirlwind romance that started with them marrying after only knowing each other for 96 hours in 1995." Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee aren't involved in the series, but they are aware of its existence.
Lily James was recently seen in Netflix's Rebecca alongside Armie Hammer, and will next be seen in The Dig with Carey Mulligan, which will debut in select-theaters on January 15, 2021 and move to Netflix on January 29, 2021. As for Sebastian Stan, the actor will reprise his role of the Winter Solider for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will debut on Disney+ on March 19, 2021.
