Although the promo for HBO's Westworld, based on the Michael Crichton film of the same name, aired during the series finale of True Detective back in August, the production of the show was halted in January to allow time to finish the final four episodes' scripts.
But now the show is back in gear, revving up production once more and nabbing Lili Simmons for a recurring role as Abigail, "who works in the park and uses her good looks and charm to lure Westworld guests into the saloon." Simmons has previously appeared on HBO in the aforementioned True Detective, but she is also a regular on the series Banshee and appeared in the last year's fan favorite Western BONE TOMAHAWK.
Westworld is described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin." It stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Barnes and Thandie Newton and is set to premiere later this year.
