Lil Rel Howery, Kristen Connolly, and more join Adrian Lyne’s Deep Water

After going seventeen years without making a movie, Adrian Lyne is getting back in the game with an erotic thriller called DEEP WATER, which stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas as 

Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a small-town couple in a loveless marriage in which the wife is allowed to take lovers as long as she does not desert the family. However, complications arise when the husband takes credit for the unsolved murder of one of the former lovers.

DEEP WATER is now filming, and the names of several more cast members have been revealed. Helping Affleck and de Armas bring this story to life are Lil Rel Howery, Kristen Connolly, Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Dash Mihok, Jacob Elordi, and Jade Fernandez.

DEEP WATER would have my attention regardless of the cast because it's a new Adrian Lyne erotic thriller, and this guy knows how to mix sex and thrills. This is the director of FATAL ATTRACTION, after all.

Scripted by Zach Helm and Sam Levinson, the film is based on a novel by The Talented Mr. Ripley author Patricia Highsmith (you can pick up a copy HERE).

New Regency is fully financing the project. Arnon Milchan is producing alongside Garrett Basch, Steven Zaillian, Anthony Katagas, and Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady and Ben Forkner.
