Liev Schreiber would be down for “Old Man Sabretooth” in Wolverine 3

As Hugh Jackman's final film as Wolverine moves ever closer, one of his most formidable foes has let it be known that he would be down for the chance to go claw-to-claw with Logan one last time. Liev Schreiber, who portrayed Victor Creed/Sabretooth in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon recently and was asked whether fans could expect a Sabretooth/Wolverine showdown in WOLVERINE 3.

Well what I heard was, I mean I don't know if I'm invited, I heard that the storyline is Old Man Logan, and when I heard that I thought 'well, you know, there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth.'

Over a month ago, Hugh Jackman had asked fans what they would like to see in WOLVERINE 3 and later revealed that "there were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back." As Liev Schreiber was one of the very few decent parts to come out of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, I really do hope that he can return in WOLVERINE 3 for the brutal Wolverine/Sabretooth fight we all want. Sabretooth doesn't make much of an appearance in the "Old Man Logan" comic, but as the story also features plenty of characters that Fox doesn't have the rights to, I'd imagine that there will be plenty of changes to the story should "Old Man Logan" really serve as the backbone of WOLVERINE 3. Remember, that "Old Man Logan" bit isn't official yet.

James Mangold is returning to direct WOLVERINE 3, which will be released on March 3, 2017.
