Liam Neeson kicks some tail in Jaume Collet-Serra’s identity thriller Unknown!

Why does this feel like Liam Neeson’s character from TAKEN took a stroll out of that one and basically stumbled onto this little flick just for shits and giggles? That’s the basic vibe I’m getting from Jaume Collet-Serra’s latest thriller. All I see is an angry Liam Neeson and you don’t cross an angry Liam Neeson.

Liam Neeson stars in UNKNOWN, which used to be titled UKNOWN WHITE MALE. He plays a man who awakens from a coma to find somebody else has assumed his identity. The story was adapted from Didier Van Cauweleart’s novel. It also stars Frank Langella, Aidan Quinn, January Jones (MAD MEN) and Diane Kruger, and comes from director Jaume Collet-Serra (ORPHAN, HOUSE OF WAX). Whether or not you liked ORPHAN or HOUSE OF WAX, this show looks good. It looks mad, fast and fun.

The official synopsis:

Dr. Martin Harris awakens after a car accident in Berlin to discover that his wife suddenly doesn’t recognize him and another man has assumed his identity. Ignored by disbelieving authorities and hunted by mysterious assassins, he finds himself alone, tired and on the run. Aided by an unlikely ally, Martin plunges headlong into a deadly mystery that will force him to question his sanity, his identity, and just how far he’s willing to go to uncover the truth.
