Let’s Scare Jessica to Death hits Blu-ray in January 2020!

One of my favorite underrated fright flicks out there is director John Hancock's LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH starring Zohra Lampert and Gretchen Corbett. And today we've learned that Scream Factory will bring the spooky 1971 horror film to Blu-ray in January 2020!

For those of you out there that might not know, LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH centers on:

Jessica (Zohra Lampert) who is released from an institution after suffering a nervous breakdown and seeks the tranquility of a secluded home in Connecticut to help make her recovery complete. But instead of a restful recuperation with her husband and close friend in the New England countryside, Jessica soon finds herself falling into a swirling vortex of madness and the supernatural! And an even more unsettling discovery is that the entire region seems to be under the influence of a mysterious woman who has been living in the supposedly empty house. Jessica’s fear and dread only intensify when she discovers that the “undead” girl, Emily, tragically drowned long ago, on her wedding day. Is she back to take vengeance?

John Hancock directed the $250,000 film from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Lee Kalcheim. Charles B. Moss Jr. produced along with William Badalato. It stars Zohra Lampert, Barton Heyman, Kevin O'Connor, Gretchen Corbett, and Mariclare Costello. Paramount Pictures released the film back on August 27, 1971. LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH will be released on Blu-ray via Scream Factory on January 28, 2020.

As I said above, LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH is one of my favorite underrated horror movies. It is strange as sh*t and sports a spooky atmosphere for days. If you haven't seen it yet, add it to your watch list tonight! Don't believe me? Well, Stephen King loves it too so there you go.
