Deadline is reporting a couple of Lannisters have joined PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. No word on who they will be playing, but Game of Thrones stars Lena Headey (Cersei) and Charles Dance (Tywin) have been added to the cast for the upcoming movie. The site has also learned Screen Gems has acquired the U.S. distribution rights for the film.
Director Burr Steers has a pretty solid cast lined up for his adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel. Steers' movie also stars Lily James (Downton Abbey), Doctor Who's Matt Smith (who joined the project last week), Boardwalk Empires' Jack Huston, Douglas Booth (NOAH) and Sam Riley (MALEFICENT), and filming for it starts today.
I haven't been that high on PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, but I'm at least a little interested in seeing it because of the cast, and hopefully the film will be just as good as the actors involved.
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES might hit theaters sometime in 2015.
