Leigh Whannell’s Insidious: Chapter 3 adds Dermot Mulroney

It was only a couple of weeks ago when we learned that JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS star Stefanie Scott had been pegged to co-star in Leigh Whannell's INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3. Now, we’ve got another name to attach to the next installment of the supernatural series as Whannell himself took to Twitter to announce that Dermot Mulroney will also star in the film. Solid choice right there; he's the badass you see above staring deep into your soul. As far as plot details go, well those are being kept tucked away in a dark corner someplace so we'll be sure to clue you in on those once we get 'em.

Jason Blum is producing the third installment again for Blumhouse alongside Oren Peli and James Wan. Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Peter Schlessel, Lia Buman, and Xavier Marchand are executive producers.

Focus Features, which acquired the rights to release INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 from FilmDistrict, plans to bring the film to U.S. theaters on April 3, 2015. eOne will distribute the picture in Canada, U.K. and Spain. Sony will distribute the picture in the rest of the world. Principal photography of the movie is scheduled to start next month on July 7th. Look for more soon!
