Some sad news to start off the weekend. Robert Forster, silver screen legend of more than 100 pictures, has died after a short battle with brain cancer. The actor, well known for his Academy Award nominated turn in Quentin Tarantino's JACKIE BROWN, was 78 and will, without a doubt, be greatly missed by film industry pros and fans. At least Forster did complete three additional projects in 2019 that we will still get to see: EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE, Steven Spielberg's AMAZING STORIES and WEREWOLF.
Mr. Forster's previous onscreen legacy includes the films BANYON, AMERICAN PERFECT, THE DESCENDANTS, FIREWALL, ME, MYSELF AND IRENE, and the new TWIN PEAKS. However, my most favorite Robert Forster movie is the 1980 giant-monster-on-the-loose flick, ALLIGATOR, where Forster tries to stop a genetically enlarged gator from destroying Chicago. It's a classic!
