Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan have one of those director/composer relationships that define one another. When you think of Steven Spielberg, you think of John Williams. When you think JJ Abrams, you think Michael Giacchino. Between the Batman films and INCEPTION, Zimmer and Nolan have crafted some of the more compelling movie scores in recent memory.

SoundWorks Collection has put together this interesting featurette that explores the sound and music of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Capitalizing on the foundation laid in BATMAN BEGINS, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES score incorporates a unique sense of urgency and doom in the persona of Bane.

Hans Zimmer is the Guillermo Del Toro of musical composition. The guy has worked on so many huge films in the last 30 years, you almost forget some of them.
