I initially hadn’t felt any interest for F. Gary Gray’s LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, the director having ruined for me what great a sequel BE COOL could’ve been and star Gerard Butler looking like he’s taken the easy paycheck route since 300. But having seen the trailer recently I have to say it looks nothing like the borefest I was expecting, AND that darn thing’s written by Kurt Wimmer; ULTRAVIOLET’s bad reviews aside, the dude’s EQUILIBRIUM still kicks ass after multiple viewings.
The folks of Coming Soon posted an exclusive clip of the film and now damn it I’m learning the always great Bruce McGill is in this too! Gonna have to see it, no choice. Better be good!
The film, to be released October 16th, is about “a brilliant sociopath who orchestrates a series of high-profile murders that grip the city of Philadelphia – all from inside his jail cell – and the prosecutor assigned to his case who realizes he is the only one who can end the reign of terror.” Jamie Foxx co-headlines, with McGill, Leslie Bibb, Michael Gambon and Regina Hall in tow. Here’s the clip right down here for you enjoyment.
