Last Night in SoHo: Edgar Wright’s new horror film gets October release date

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's nice to see filmmaker Edgar Wright stretch out his directing muscles by breaking out of genre pastiche parody films; though, admittedly, he still seems to be doing genre pastiche, at least he's now doing it more earnestly. Which is why I'm excited for his upcoming psychological thriller (possibly involving time travel?) Last Night in SoHo.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer than expected, as Focus Features has pushed the release date back to October 22nd. At least it might be a fun Halloween flick now!

Meanwhile, Last Night in SoHo stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie, and is about

a young girl, who is passionate about fashion design, mysteriously enters the 1960s, where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences.

So what do you guys think? Looking forward to Wright's new film as well? Either way, sound off below!
