In recent times horror news has seemed bleak when involving the rating system; more specifically when talking about studios wanting to slap a PG-13 rating on a film so they can increase their sales to teenagers, while the rest of us wonder why the film turned out to be a puss-fest. It wasn’t too long ago that the rumor of a “softer” LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake being released was floating around the net. But luckily this isn’t going to be the case, as the studio won’t be pushing for a PG-13 release and instead will be going for a “hard ‘R’-rating.
This has got to be great news for a bunch of you who are like me. When I first heard the news of a LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake I was angry enough, but then when I heard they were going to make it “softer” I was downright infuriated. So I have to say the news of an extremely violent remake is music to my f*cking ears.
Keep checking back here for updates about this remake, as casting is sure to start soon!
The hard “R” rating means more of this…
