You know how you get the Carnegie Hall, don’t ya? Practice.
I don’t remember where that phrase came from, but it’s a thing I swear. I know it’s a thing, you now know it’s a thing and Brie Larson knows it’s a thing. Not only does she know, but as an Oscar-winning actress she fully embraces it, as evidence in her Twitter post that shows her preparing for her role as Captain Marvel.
No, she’s not trying to fly or punch multiple holes in multiple walls. But she is dressed in what looks like CAPTAIN MARVEL-themed jammies while reading a CAPTAIN MARVEL comic book.
Don’t believe me? Look for yourself!
We all know actors go through a lot of prep work for their roles, but wouldn’t it be nice if all acting research looked this cozy? I would totally try and be an actor if I knew prepping to play Ben Franklin meant being comfortable and reading a few biographies, instead of waiting to be electrocuted while holding a kite to "feel what he felt". In all seriousness, it’s nice to actually see Larson taking the role seriously and doing all the research she can on the character. See, I knew she was the perfect choice. On top of that, I think she’s proving Daniel Day-Lewis has been doing way more work than necessary for his roles than he’s had to all these years.
We will see if all her studying pays off when CAPTAIN MARVEL hits theatres March 8, 2019.
