Huh. So it seems that Kurt Wimmer's (EQUILIBRIUM) new CHILDREN OF THE CORN adaptation was not only filmed and completed in secret, but it also has just released a new official image and poster (which you can see at the top and bottom of the article, respectively), as well as showing currently showing in select theaters (including the CMX CinéBistro and Burns Court Cinema in Florida)! We'll keep you updated if any other listings come up.
Anyway, here's the official synopsis:
A psychopathic twelve-year-old girl in a small town in Nebraska recruits all the other children and goes on a bloody rampage, killing the corrupt adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan, is the town’s only hope of survival.
Meanwhile, CHILDREN OF THE CORN is out right now in a limited theatrical release (check your local listings!)
So what do you guys think? Fans of the original? If so, gonna see the remake? Either way, sound off below!
