Rob Cohen's THE BOY NEXT DOOR continues to add to its cast as the film is in negotiations with Kristin Chenoweth (below) who will join Jennifer Lopez (above) in the Blumhhouse thriller. Good looking cast right there! We reported on this one last week but in case you're out of the loop on what Blumhouse has cooking, here's what we know. Lopez will play a newly separated mother who finds herself attracted to the teenage boy who moves in next door and befriends her son. When she starts and then abruptly ends their illicit romance, he’s not ready to let her go in a very FATAL ATTRACTION kind of way. Chenoweth will play Lopez's best friend.
That's all for now folks. Barbara Curry wrote the script while Jason Blum, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and John Jacobs are producing. Zac Unterman is serving as an executive producer. THE BOY NEXT DOOR is set to shoot later this fall so I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty more from this thriller in the very near future so be on the look out!
