Almost five months out from the release of director William Eubank's aquatic horror film UNDERWATER, a trailer has arrived online to give us a peek at some sea creature action that brings to mind the glory days of films like LEVIATHAN and DEEPSTAR SIX.
Written by Brian Duffield and Adam Cozad, UNDERWATER has the following official synopsis:
A crew of underwater researchers must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
What that synopsis is keeping secret for some reason is that the earthquake also releases a monster from beneath the sea. The monster is the selling point, don't keep that information under your hat!
The cast that has to deal with this monster includes Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, John Gallagher Jr., Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie, and Gunner Wright.
Produced by Peter Chernin, Tonia Davis, Kevin Halloran, and Jenno Topping, UNDERWATER is scheduled to reach theatres on January 10, 2020.
