Netflix is developing a new Korean original series ALL OF US ARE DEAD, a teen zombie drama with a reportedly "fresh take on the Korean zombie genre". It is based on the popular webtoon NOW AT OUR SCHOOL that is successful in Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan about
a group of high school students who are faced with an extreme crisis situation when they become trapped in their school, while a zombie virus spreads like a wildfire.
This would be the second Korean original series Netflix has developed, after the successful KINGDOM that recently premiered its second season. No release date has been announced, but ALL OF US ARE DEAD will be produced by JTBC Studios in association with Film Monster.
Now, I've said before I'm not normally much of a zombie person, but I saw the Korean zombie film TRAIN OF BUSAN last night (perfect Easter movie, by the way) and was blown away by it. Not only that, but I'm also a sucker for high school drama, so combining Korean zombies with high school teen shenanigans sounds potentially right up my alley.
But what do you guys think? Anyone seen the webtoon? If so, how was it? Either way, sound off below!
