I have no idea what is supposed to have produced that hot pink skull other than something fresh out of John Waters' nightmares. Hopefully we'll find out more soon.
KONG: SKULL ISLAND:
is about a man (Tom Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers ventures inside what they find to be a treacherous island. The story is said to honor the King Kong lore but in a different time period.
KONG: SKULL ISLAND is set to join up with Gareth Evans' GODZILLA franchise in GODZILLA VS. KONG in 2020.
While at Universal, SKULL ISLAND was set for a March 10, 2017 release. It's not clear if Warner Bros. will keep it on that date. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing the film from a screenplay by John Gatins, Dan Gilroy, Derek Connolly, and Max Borenstein.
