You know, I was pretty iffy about news of yet another remake of KING KONG. While I am a huge defender of Peter Jackson's 2005 remake (it's just so much fun!) I didn't think the story needed to be revisited again. I still have that belief for the most part, but it can't be denied that the last trailer for KONG: SKULL ISLAND was pretty damn epic. Also news that Kong and Godzilla primed to fight in an upcoming film makes everything even more exciting!
Anyway, here's a new international trailer for the film:
Not a lot of new footage, but I always find it interesting to see how other countries advertise our films. It definitely goes for more bombast than the more eerily creeping dread of the first American trailer.
Either way, KONG: SKULL ISLAND, starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (KINGS OF SUMMER) will roar into theaters March 10th, 2017.
So what say you guys? Excited for KONG: SKULL ISLAND? Or do you think it's another unnecessary remake?
