Knight Rider (1982 TV Series) – Gone But Not Forgotten

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

"Knight Rider – A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law."

So begins the opening narration of one of the most badass action tv series of the eighties, Knight Rider, starring the iconic David Hasselhoff and everyone's favorite Pontiac Trans Am, K.I.T.T. (voiced by William Daniels) as they fight crime in a quasi futuristic but very eighties Los Angeles.

A terrific show (the brainchild of Glen A. Larson), over its five season run it became a pop culture staple, and there have been many attempts to reboot/remake it, but all have failed. Join us as we look into the history of this show on Gone But Not Forgotten! And also – I think we can all agree the Knight Rider theme is perhaps the greatest TV theme song of all time.
