Kit Harington on why the next episode of Game of Thrones is one of his faves

Game of Thrones, Kit Harington, HBO

There are only three more episodes left of Game of Thrones. After so many years, it feels strange to finally be so close to the end. The most recent episode of the HBO series brought us the Battle of Winterfell, and as most of the promos for the final season have focused on the buildup to that battle, the final three episodes are much more of a mystery, but we do know that the next is one of Kit Harington's favourites.

The actor explained why the fourth episode is one of his favourites while speaking with Entertainment Weekly.

One of my favorite episodes is 4 because the characters have seemingly got what they needed. The world is safe now. They’re celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience you’re going, ‘This is only episode 4, something’s going to happen.’ And that’s the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. There’s something twisted and uncomfortable about it. It’s so Shakespearian.

Son of a bitch. What the hell is going to happen now? The episode is the final installment to be directed by David Nutter, the man behind the first two episodes of the final season as well as episodes such as The Rains of Castamere and The Dance of Dragons. Kit Harington also addressed the Battle of Winterfell, and although he was one of the few fortunate enough to ride a dragon, he regretted not being more of a part of the action on the ground. "I was slightly pissed off I was on a dragon, it stops me from fighting in a crowd," Harington said. "It’s going to look cool but I wanted, in some ways — just as Jon does — to get back down on the ground. The fact he can fly a dragon means he has to but his place is down there amongst the sword swingers." The next episode of Game of Thrones will land on HBO on May 5th.
