The first season of Kevin Williamson's psychological thriller drama TELL ME A STORY hasn't even finished airing over on CBS All Access, but already today we have word via Deadline that the show has been renewed for a second season. Written by Williamson, the series takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller.
Set in New York City and based on the fairy tales Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and Hansel and Gretel, the first season consisted of ten episodes. Those familiar stories have been woven together to tell
an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
Paul Wesley, Danielle Campbell, Kim Cattrall, Billy Magnussen, Dorian Missick, Zabryna Guevara, James Wolk, Davi Santos, Michael Raymond-James, Sam Jaeger, and Dania Ramirez star. It is unclear which of the actors will return for the second season of the anthology series.
Julie McNamara, EVP Original Content at CBS All Access:
The first season of Tell Me a Story turned conventional fairy tales on their heads, interweaving and modernizing three classic stories into a compelling thriller for today’s audiences, in a way only Kevin Williamson can. We can’t wait to surprise and entertain viewers with a whole new set of tales next season.
Williamson, Kaplan and Dana Honor executive produce the series, which first seven episodes are available on CBS All Access. New episodes hit on demand each Thursdays, exclusively on CBS All Access.
