By now, you've no doubt heard that Marvel's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR has performed like gangbusters at the box office, after amassing over $258.1 million in domestic ticket sales and $382.8 million in foreign receipts (sans China & Russia) for a current worldwide total of over $641 million! Sing it with me, Disney and Marvel, "Money money, money … MONEY!" As a result of this momentous achievement, The Russo Brothers' latest superhero spectacle now stands as the biggest domestic premiere of all-time as well as the biggest worldwide debut of all-time!
As a way of showing his appreciation to those who've supported the film, Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege has shared a letter via his personal Twitter account, in which he expresses a heartfelt thanks to both fans and members of his MCU family.
To the greatest fans, The past ten years have been an unforgetable ride and we coudn't have done it without the entire team at Marvel Studios, our incredible in front of and behind the camera, the visionary comic book creators, but most importantly you!
Thank you for embracing these characters and stories since we kicked off the MCU ten years ago. This past weekend was a result beyond our wildest dreams.
On behalf of everyone here at Marvel Studios, we thank you for being the best fans in the universe and making Avengers: Infinity War the biggest opening weekend of all time.
Also getting in on the action of thanking Marvel's hard-working film creators and loyal fanbase was Thanos himself, Josh Brolin, who posted a polite reaction video to the big news:
Your move, DC.
