Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers to guest-star on The Simpsons

With the Disney/Fox merger now behind us, it’s a little weird to think of all the properties which now belong to the House of Mouse, and that includes The Simpsons, Matt Groening’s extremely long-running animated series. An upcoming episode of the thirsty-first season (holy shit) of The Simpsons is slated to bring some of Disney’s biggest behind-the-scenes talent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Springfield.

According to TVLine‘s Michael Ausiello, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and AVENGERS: ENDGAME directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be lending their voices to an episode of The Simpsons which will air on February 23, 2020. Here’s the episode description:

When Bart is mistaken for a terminally ill child and gets to see a cut of the unreleased sequel of the extremely popular Vindicator superhero movie franchise, he uses spoilers as blackmail to get what he wants. When two movie executives (played by, wink, wink, Marvel auteurs Joseph and Anthony Russo) discover Bart has seen the movie, they will stop at nothing to keep his spoiler knowledge a secret. Marvel CCO Kevin Feige also makes a cameo in the episode — titled “Bart the Bad Guy” — as the evil alien supervillain in the film, Chinnos.

You can catch a look at Chinnos in the image at the top of this article. The Simpsons have made Marvel references for decades, including a few guest-appearances from the late, great Stan Lee, so it’s only fitting that Kevin Feige and the Russo brothers get to join in on the fun as well.
