Kevin Costner drops out of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained?



The most intriguing bit of casting on Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED has reportedly been undone.

According to a tweet from Variety reporter Justin Kroll, Kevin Costner (MAN OF STEEL) – originally set play the villainous ‘Ace Woody’, a man who would train slaves to fight in brutal matches for entertainment – has backed out of his role due to the always dreaded “scheduling conflicts”. If the conflict is a with another film, you have to wonder what project could possibly make an actor drop an against-type role in a f*cking Tarantino film.

As it currently stands, though, DJANGO UNCHAINED is still boasting the very impressive likes of Jamie Foxx in the film’s title role, Leonardo DiCaprio as the main villain, BASTERDS alum Christoph Waltz, and the recently confirmed Samuel L. Jackson. You may begin speculating now as to who QT might turn to for the vacated and likely very coveted spot.
