Keri Russell (DARK SKIES) has officially been cast in 20th Century Fox’s DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, adding to the already stellar line-up. Variety reports that she’ll play the female lead in Matt Reeves’ latest flick. Right now that’s all the details we know surrounding her character so we’ll keep you guys up to date when we find out more.
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES continues the story of how ultra-intelligent simian Caesar (Andy Serkis) presides over the fall of human civilization. After the apes break out of their facility, a virus breaks out that causes the collapse of human society. The new project is taking the story to the next level, with the apes on the path to emerge as society’s new rulers.
I’m really digging the cast so far as Russell joins Kodi Smit-McPhee, Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis and Jason Clarke. With Matt Reeves directing, APES looks to be shaping up quite nicely!
