Keanu Reeves & Winona Ryder hate everything in Destination Wedding trailer

No matter how depressed you are, no matter how miserable, unpleasant, abhorrent, or just plain nasty, most people like to think that there's someone for everyone out there. Someone who completes you and helps you to become the best person you can be. Or, if you're Keanu Reeves in DESTINATION WEDDING, you might believe that there's nobody for everyone. Pick your poison. If Francis Ford Coppola's BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA has left you longing for a romantic reunion between Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, well, DESTINATION WEDDING just might be what you were waiting for, although there is an alarming shortage of vampires. The recently released trailer for the film offers up a few chuckles, if only because Reeves and Winona seem to be competing to see who can spout the driest line delivery.

Written and directed by Victor Levin, the upcoming romantic comedy finds Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder starring as the socially awkward Frank and Lindsay who meet while on their way to the same destination wedding. The pair soon discover that they have a lot in common: they both hate the bride, the groom, the wedding, themselves, and most especially, each other. "As the weekend's events continually force them together – and their cheerlessness immediately isolates them from the other guests – Frank and Lindsay find that if you verbally spar with someone long enough, anything can happen. When debate gives way to desire, they must decide which is stronger: their hearts or their common sense."

DESTINATION WEDDING will open in select theaters on August 24, 2018.
