Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas & more join cast of Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass

Production on The Haunting of Bly Manor, Mike Flanagan's follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House, is nearing its end, but Flanagan is already prepping his next project with Netflix, and it appears that it will feature a few familiar faces.

It has now been announced Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Zach Gilford (THE PURGE: ANARCHY), and Hamish Linklater (Legion) will lead Midnight Mass, Mike Flanagan's seven-episode horror series for Netflix. The cast will also include Haunting of Hill House actors Henry Thomas and Annabeth Gish, as well as Michael Trucco (HUNTER KILLER), Samantha Sloyan (Grey's Anatomy), Rahul Abburi (KIDNAPPED BY A CLASSMATE), Crystal Balint (Prison Break), Matt Biedel (Altered Carbon), Alex Essoe (DOCTOR SLEEP), Rahul Kohli (Supergirl), Kristin Lehman (Altered Carbon), Robert Longstreet (DOCTOR SLEEP) Igby Rigney (Blue Bloods), and Annarah Shephard. Midnight Mass takes place on an isolated island community which experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. Production on the series will kick off in Vancouver this spring, and Mike Flanagan will be directing every episodes. In an interesting detail, Mike Flanagan confirmed on Twitter last month that Midnight Mass is actually based on the fictional novel which popped up in Flanagan's previous films, HUSH and GERALD'S GAME.

Based on "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James, The Haunting of Bly Manor will will star Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, (who played Nell and Luke Crain in The Haunting of Hill House), with Pedretti playing Dani, a governess who is looking after two unique children in an old country mansion, and Jackson-Cohen playing Peter, who has been described as a charming fellow.
