The lovely curve-o-licious Kate Dennings is back on for THOR: THE DARK WORLD.
The actress will reprise her role as Darcy Lewis, friend to Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). Dennings has received more attention since her show, 2 BROKE GIRLS became a hit for CBS. Perhaps that success is the reason that she now has “more extended role” in the THOR sequel.
Last year, Dennings said this about her character, “She’s kind of like a cute, clueless, little puppy or maybe a hamster. There wasn’t much on the page for the Darcy role to begin with and I didn’t even see a script before I took the job so I didn’t really know who Darcy was at first. But she really evolved — she’s so much fun now even. She’s very Scooby-Doo if that makes sense. She’s always three steps behind and reacting to what’s happening with these great expressions … She gets things wrong and doesn’t care.”
I’ve heard a few people say that Dennings (aside from her hottness) was their least favorite thing about the movie. Something about the character being “annoying”. I didn’t get that. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I am a fan of Dennings. I just saw it the same as she explained above, the character just has a sort of puppy dog, cluelessness.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD is set to release on November 8, 2013.
