New York City Comic Con is officially underway, and DC Universe has decided to kick off their presense at the show by announcing that THE BIG BANG THEORY star Kaley Cuoco will voice Harley Quinn for the streaming network's upcoming animated series. The news came to fans via DC Universe’s TITANS premiere on Wednesday night, where a new teaser trailer for HARLEY QUINN show was revealed (seen above). In addition to voicing Daddy's Little Monster, Cuoco will also exeutive produce the animated program by way of her Yes, Norman Productionsalongside Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey.
In the teaser, we find Harley in a prison cell at Arkham Asylum. Joined by her cellmate, Poison Ivy, the pair trade jabs at both Marvel and DC, offering fans a taste of the humor and hi-jinks to come. A sourpuss Batman also drops in, which only adds to the already absurd tone of the animation. Personally, I loved the teaser, and can't wait to Harley bash some f*@%$^! brains in. Joining Cuoco for the new show are previously announced cast members Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Tony Hale, and Chris Meloni.
HARLEY QUINN is slated to arrive exclusively on the DC Universe streaming network alongside other announced projects: SWAMP THING, STARGIRL, YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS and DOOM PATROL, which has just announced that Matt Bomer (MAGIC MIKE, AMERICAN HORROR STORY) will be joining the cast as Larry Trainor, and as the voice-over character of Negative Man.
HARLEY QUINN is expected to arrive on DC Universe in 2019.
