Fresh off of working with director K. Asher Levin on the vampire horror comedy Slayers, Thomas Jane is set to re-team with Levin on an indie thriller called Dig – and this time Jane is going to be joined in the cast by Harlow Jane, his daughter with ex-wife Patricia Arquette.
Scripted by Banipal and Benhur Ablakhad, Dig is scheduled to begin filming in New Mexico later this month. The story centers on
a widower (Thomas Jane) and his teenage daughter (Harlow Jane), whose strained relationship reaches a breaking point when they are held hostage by two intruders and are forced to dig under a vacant house, revealing a dark secret from the past.
Slayers producers Daniel Cummings and Buffalo 8 Productions' Robert Dean are producing Dig. Thomas Jane serves as executive producer, alongside his Renegade Entertainment partner Courtney Lauren Penn. Also on board as executive producers are Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, and Grady Craig of BondIt Media Capital and Film Mode Entertainment's Clay Epstein.
Penn released the following statement:
I’m beyond excited to see Thomas and Harlow on screen together and witness the magic they create in roles tailor made for them. This authentic connection will serve the film so well."
Harlow Jane previously had an acting role in the 2015 mini-series Texas Rising, which her father was also in.
