Jurassic World’s Bryce Dallas Howard to join Matthew McConaughey in Gold

It's time for Bryce Dallas Howard to head back into the jungle, only this time, instead of dinosaurs, she'll be after gold. The JURASSIC WORLD actress has joined the cast of Stephen Gaghan's (SYRIANA, TRAFFIC) upcoming mining drama, GOLD. Bryce Dallas Howard will be playing Kay, the longtime girlfriend of Matthew McConaughey's character, whose capacity and loyalty are tested as the hunt for gold pushes their relationship to its breaking point.

Matthew McConaughey plays Kenny Wells, a modern-day prospector and hustler desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a equally luckless geologist. The pair then make a plan to find gold deep in the uncharted jungles of Indonesia. In addition to Matthew McConaughey and Bryce Dallas Howard, GOLD also stars Edgar Ramirez, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Rachael Taylor, Bruce Greenwood, and Stacy Keach.

GOLD is already mid-way through production in New Mexico but will wrap up its shoot in New York by October. The film doesn't have a release date at the moment, but it should debut sometime in 2016. Bryce Dallas Howard will also return for the JURASSIC WORLD sequel, which is set for a June 22, 2018 release.

Remember the last time McConaughey went searching for treasure? Yeesh. I won't even mention that other time he went hunting for gold. Third time's the charm?
