Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt, gets MPAA rating, new extended TV spot

Colin Trevorrow's JURASSIC WORLD has been given an unsurprising PG-13 rating by the MPAA for “intense sequences of science-fiction violence and peril”, which is exactly what we expected. I mean, c'mon…it may be a film about rampaging dinosaurs but even with some frightening scenes of dino-carnage you gotta remember how important merchandising has been to the JURASSIC PARK franchise. Gotta get the kiddos to buy up those toys, right? Besides, the previous films were all rated PG-13 and delivered a lot of fun, so I expect no less from JURASSIC WORLD.

Now we've got a new extended TV spot titled 'Run' to share with ya. I have faith in Trevorrow and think that this will be one of those 'edge of your seat' action-packed summer blockbusters that will include even scarier moments than the previous films. That Indominous Rex already terrifies me!

Taking place 22 years after the original JURASSIC PARK, this film finds….

…Isla Nublar now featuring a fully functioning dinosaur theme park as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, JURASSIC WORLD stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Judy Greer. The gates open on June 12th.
