There has been quite a bit of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM news in recent days, and there's more on the way, as the film's first trailer is set to be released tomorrow. To this point, there have been no solid details on the plot, only a rumor that the story would have something to do with a volcano eruption on Isla Nublar (a rumor visually confirmed in recent promos). Now star Bryce Dallas Howard has pulled back the curtain a little bit, telling EW.com that her character Claire has
founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they’re finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island. She reaches out to (Chris Pratt's character) Owen Grady to let him know this is happening.
When you see (Claire and Owen) at the beginning of this story, you get caught up as to what’s going on (between them). But it’s not what you would necessarily expect."
Along with the information Howard revealed comes a first look at one of the new dinosaurs to be featured in the latest film, a creature called the Baryonyx. With a name that means "Heavy Claw", this dinosaur is a carnivore from the Spinosaur family… and in the image below it looks like it's ready to gulp down a hot lunch.
Howard and Pratt's co-stars in FALLEN KINGDOM include Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, Brooke Norbury, and B.D. Wong, with Jeff Goldblum making his triumphant return to the JURASSIC PARK franchise as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Directed by J.A. Bayona from a screenplay by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM is scheduled to be released on June 22, 2018.
