Jurassic World Dominion: Old and new heroes take center stage in Empire Magazine covers

Jurassic World Dominion, Empire, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblumb, Laura Dern

I hope you’re ready to hold onto your butts for the sixth time before we’re just a few months away from the release of Jurassic World Dominion. In addition to all the dinosaur action we expect, the biggest draw for this latest sequel is the return of the legacy cast: Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Empire Magazine has released two covers for their upcoming Jurassic World Dominion which features the OG Jurassic Park heroes and the new breed. Check them out below!

The first cover features our original heroes joined by a Dilophosaurus, a baby Nasutoceratops, and the Pyrorapter. The second cover showcases Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, DeWanda Wise as Kayla Watts, and Mamoudou Athie as Ramsay Cole, as well as Blue and her offspring Beta.

The official synopsis for Jurassic World Dominion:

This summer, experience the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era as two generations unite for the first time. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar®-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Jurassic World Dominion, a bold, timely and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe. From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

Jeff Goldblum did make an all-too-brief appearance in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen the original cast together. These won’t be mere cameos either, as director Colin Trevorrow has previously said that the sequel will be a “true ensemble” film with the franchise veterans having roles on par with the Jurassic World cast. Given that Dominion will reportedly be the longest Jurassic Park film to date, I’m hoping we’ll spend a lot of time with the original cast. Jurassic World Dominion will debut in theaters on June 10, 2022.
