Jurassic World: Dominion: Colin Trevorrow tweets that production is resuming

Even during a pandemic, life finds a way.

That falls true for film productions as well. Despite solid precautions, JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION fell prey to some positive COVID-19 tests. But after a break, the production seems to be ready to resume. On Friday, director Colin Trevorrow shared a photograph of three Jurassic Park alums – Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum – as they arrived back on set at Pinewood Studios.

Earlier this month, a Universal spokesperson alerted informed press outlets about the circumstances of the delay:

“Late last night, we were informed that the Jurassic World: Dominion production experienced a small amount of positive tests for COVID-19. Even though subsequent tests proved negative this morning, due to our rigid protocols and to ensure that the safety and well-being of our entire cast and crew is paramount at all times, those who initially tested positive are currently self-isolating, as are those who they have come into contact with. As a result, filming has been temporarily paused and will resume in accordance with established safety guidelines.”

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION will see original Jurassic Park cast members reuniting for the first time since 1993. That's right, my friends. Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their iconic roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively. Joining them for the highly-anticipated sequel will be Campbell Scott as Lewis Dodgson, who Jurassic Park novel fans will recognize as one of the franchise's main villains. Moreover, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Daniella Pineda, BD Wong, and Justice Smith will also be a part of the dino-derived disaster film. Hold onto your butts.

JURASSIC PARK: DOMINION is scheduled to open in theaters on June 10, 2022.
