Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 2 trailer announces January premiere

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous premiered on Netflix just three months ago, but a second season of the animated series is already on the way. Set before, during, and after the events of Jurassic World, the series follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive. A new trailer for the second season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has been released, which also announces that the new season will launch on January 22nd.

"Now stranded on an abandoned Isla Nublar, the campers struggle to survive among the wreckage of Jurassic World," reads the official logline. "As the T.Rex takes over Main Street, forcing the kids deeper into the jungle, the discovery that they may not be alone not only threatens their rescue but may uncover something more sinister." As far as the live-action side of the franchise goes, Jurassic World: Dominion wrapped production last month and will star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as feature the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, and Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler. Jurassic World: Dominon is slated to hit theaters on June 10, 2022. The second season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will debut on Netflix on January 22, 2021.
