Joseph Gordon-Levitt is no stranger to being on the other side of the camera, as the fan fave thesp has made another name for himself within smaller circles directing short films over the years.
Finally, though, he’ll be taking those directorial chops to the big screen with a new, as-yet-to-be-titled feature film. According to Variety, the beautiful and talented Julianne Moore (“Game Change”) is now in talks to join Levitt’s picture. The project – also written by and starring JGL – has so far been mostly kept under wraps, though it is said to deal with Levitt as “a modern day Don Juan who sets out to become a less selfish person.” If she secures the part, Moore would play Levitt’s unlikely mentor.
Shooting on JGL’s untitled directorial debut is expected to begin next month. Meanwhile, Moore is getting rave reviews for her portrayal of Sarah Palin in the television movie “Game Change”. She’s also being eyed to possibly play the kooky mother in MGM’s upcoming remake of CARRIE.
