Whatever happened to JT Petty? He was all over AITH at one point. The creative mind behind the decent horror flick THE BURROWERS is at it again with a new direction in mind.
Bloody-Disgusting reports that JT Petty returning to the camera on a new project called HELLBENDERS. HELLBENDERS will be part of the horror/comedy mix-up and will also “be in the vein of classics such as THE EXORCIST and GHOSTBUSTERS.” That’s a pretty tall order if you ask me.
HELLBENDERS will be taking place in modern day New York and will feature a team of holy men (consisting of ministers and priests) battling the forces of evil.
So what say you? A bunch of priests battling evil forces in a horror/comedy flick? Sounds pretty kick-ass to me and seeing JT Petty behind the lens is also a plus. JT Petty has had previous success in the genre with THE BURROWERS and MIMIC 3 so the man definitely knows his stuff. Filming is scheduled to begin this November in New York City.
