It's been a long wait for Josh Brolin, we all know that Thanos will finally have a major part to play in the upcoming AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – PART I and PART II, but so far his role has only consisted of brief moments and mentions by other characters. Since it's been well over a year since he was cast in the role, it's no wonder that Josh Brolin can't wait to finally kick some Avenger ass.
Brolin spoke with MTV News where he expressed his enthusiasm for the role, but also mentioned that he doesn't know when he'll next appear as Thanos.
I don’t know which one I’m in, that’s a Kevin Feige question. I know the trajectory of what they’re doing, but I don’t know exactly which one I’m in. I love going into a comic book store and a guy connecting me with Thanos, and seeing the incredible regressive awe that happens. Like you see them lose 30 years in can’t-breathe awe, that’s fun, and I have a lot of respect for those fans. I’m excited about doing it, I really am.
Thanos has appeared in THE AVENGERS, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON thus far, but his next major appearance will likely be in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – PART I. As to which Avenger Josh Brolin is most looking forward to going up against, his response is very Thanos appropriate:
I don’t have a favorite because it’s me against all of them, I think the entirety is what I’m most looking forward to. Each and every one. I’m bringing the wrath.
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – PART I opens on May 4, 2018 with PART II following on May 3, 2019.
